This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, what cookies we use on criticalmkt.com, and the choices you have. For our broader privacy practices, see our Privacy Policy.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small piece of text that a website stores on your device (computer, phone, or tablet). Cookies let sites remember information about your visit, such as your preferences or whether you are signed in. Most websites use them.
Cookies we use
We try to use the minimum number of cookies needed for the site to function properly and to understand how visitors use the site. Specifically:
- Essential cookies: these are required for the site to work. They handle things like remembering that you submitted a form so we do not show you the confirmation page twice.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4): we use GA4 to understand which pages get traffic and how visitors move through the site. GA4 is configured to anonymize IP addresses by default.
- Embedded content (YouTube, etc.): when you click play on an embedded video, the video provider may set its own cookies. Refer to their privacy policies if this concerns you.
We do not currently use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels on this site.
How long cookies stay on your device
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them. Most analytics cookies expire within 12 to 24 months.
Your choices
You can control cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser lets you block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or delete existing cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site.
